1. This Site includes a tool that allows you to configure new LAND ROVER vehicles that are available for purchase from a Jaguar Land Rover Ireland (JLRI) Retailer based on your search criteria (the " New Car Configurator "). A full list of JLRI retailers can be found here.
2. The display of vehicles and your use of this tool to configure a vehicle and/or make an enquiry:
a) does not create a contract or other binding obligation between you and us or a JLRI Retailer; and
b) is not a vehicle order or an offer capable of acceptance.
3. The sale agreement for any configured vehicle is not concluded on the Site and you will need to visit the applicable JLRI Retailer to make your purchase. The purchase process will start when you visit the applicable JLRI Retailer in the same way it would if purchasing a vehicle in person from a retailer's showroom. A JLRI Retailer representative will provide and discuss with you the terms and conditions relating to your purchase of the vehicle.
4. If you decide to purchase the vehicle, the agreement for the purchase will be between you and the applicable JLRI Retailer. We (JLRI) do not enter into these agreements and, as we are not a party to them, do not have any obligations under them.
5. A reservation through the New Car Configurator is not a vehicle order. The reservation option provides you with an opportunity to agree the vehicle purchase with a JLRI Retailer.
6. When you complete the form within the tool you must provide a credit card pre-authorisation for €1,000. This pre-authorisation does not debit your bank account. The amount is blocked for a period of 5 days. After this period, the credit card pre-authorisation is automatically cancelled, without you having to act and without any further information from us or your bank.
7. Once you have completed the reservation process within the New Car Configurator, you will receive an email to confirm that your request has been passed to the relevant JLRI Retailer and that the pre-authorisation has been placed on your credit card. The JLRI Retailer will contact you by email or telephone to set up an appointment for ordering the vehicle.
8. You can reserve a maximum of one vehicle through the New Car Configurator at any time.
9. Your reservation is not a commitment to purchase. The pre-authorisation will be cancelled regardless of your decision to order the vehicle from the JLRI Retailer. Therefore the €1,000 reservation pre-authorisation is not deducted from any payment made to the JLRI Retailer. You can terminate your reservation at any time by following the link on your confirmation email, or you can simply allow the credit card pre-authorisation to expire. The credit card pre-authorisation cannot be returned any sooner than the period imposed by your bank (please check with your bank for details).
10. As part of the ordering process, it is exclusively up to the JLRI Retailer to provide you with all the pre-contractual information about the vehicle and then if applicable to agree to all the terms and conditions of the vehicle order including the price, financing conditions and delivery date. The vehicle sales contract is directly between you and the JLRI Retailer. Please address any queries or issues to the JLRI Retailer.
11. Prices displayed through the New Car Configurator are the manufacturer's recommended 'retail price' and do not include any retailer offers, discounts, allowances, trade-in values or delivery values. Finance values displayed are indicative and must be agreed with the retailer at time of purchase. Prices, specification and other vehicle information are subject to change without notice and may therefore differ at the time of order from the prices and other vehicle information displayed in the New Car Configurator.
12. By paying the Reservation Fee, you agree to be bound by the Terms. In return, during the Reservation Period, you have an exclusive right to consider the purchase of the vehicle. However, if you wish to proceed to purchase the vehicle it will be necessary for you to enter a separate contract for sale, after you have inspected the vehicle, at the relevant Dealership. Neither payment of the Reservation Fee, nor reservation of the vehicle in any way implies a contract for sale/purchase of the vehicle, nor does it constitute on acceptance of an offer to sell the vehicle.
13. We shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising under or in connection with the Terms.
14. Our total liability to you in respect of all other losses arising under or in connection with the Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed the Reservation Fee.
15. JLRI are committed to operating to the highest standards and subscribe to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry’s (SIMI) Code of Ethics. (https://www.simi.ie/en/consumer-help/simi-standards). If for any reason, you are unhappy with our service, you can raise a complaint with our team by contacting online@jaguarlandrover.ie. Should we be unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, you can avail of a free and Independent Consumer Complaints Service operated by the SIMI. You can submit a complaint via their website: www.simi.ie. Unresolved complaints may be referred to the SIMI Retail Motor Industry Standards Tribunal for a recommendation which is binding on member companies.
